Privacy Policy

SaunAlmanac is a static website built to respect your privacy. We do not run analytics, advertising or tracking, and we do not collect personal information through this site. This page explains exactly what that means.

What we do not collect

• We use no analytics tools (no Google Analytics, no Tag Manager, no Meta Pixel).
• We set no advertising or tracking cookies. The site does not build a profile of you.
• There are no contact forms, accounts, logins or comments, so there is nothing for you to submit here.

Cookies

SaunAlmanac does not use cookies to track you. Your browser may store a single local preference — whether you chose the light or dark theme — on your own device. That preference stays in your browser (in localStorage), is never sent to us, and can be cleared at any time from your browser settings.

Server logs

Like virtually all websites, the pages you request are served by a hosting provider whose servers may automatically record standard technical information — such as your IP address, the page requested, the date and time, and your browser type — in access logs. This is a normal function of serving a website and is used to operate and secure the service. We do not use these logs to identify individuals.

Search Console

We verify ownership of this site with Google Search Console using an HTML verification method. This helps us understand which search queries lead to our pages, in aggregate. It does not place tracking code that identifies you as an individual on the pages you read.

Links to other sites

Our articles link to manufacturers, retailers and other resources. Once you follow a link away from SaunAlmanac, you are subject to the privacy practices of that third-party site, which we do not control. We encourage you to read their policies.

Email

If you email us at [email protected], we receive whatever you choose to send — your email address and the content of your message. We use it only to respond to you and to improve the Almanac (for example, to correct an error you report). We do not add you to any mailing list without your asking, and we do not sell or share your message.

Children

SaunAlmanac is a general-interest publication and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect any information from children.

Changes to this policy

If our practices change, we will update this page and revise the date above. Because the site collects so little, we expect changes to be rare.
